Keynote Speaker: Brad Frenette
SMArts London is pleased to announce that Brad Frenette, online arts editor for the National Post, will be delivering the keynote address at this years SMArts Conference. The title of Brad’s address is “Beyond 140: The Benefits Of Being Social”
Brad Frenette has been working in the spaces between online and print media since 2003, when he established a web presence for the Canadian arm of the international daily, Metro News. After a move to the UK, and a stint at The Guardian newspaper, he returned to Toronto, where he is currently Online Features Editor at National Post. In the role, he either runs or manage all web projects and initiatives for the Arts and Life desk, including one of the nation’s most popular arts and culture blog, theampersand.ca and books blog, The Afterword. He also hosts a variety of podcasts, produces several video projects and runs a slate of Twitter accounts. In addition, he writes about books, music and travel, and has been published in a variety of major newspapers and magazines.
