Now that winter weather is fast approaching, it's important to note the toll that the change in weather can take on musical instruments. Changes in humidity are the biggest change that instruments face, and wooden instruments, like violins, guitars and pianos are at the greatest risk of damage. If you already have an in-case humidifier, it's time to start using it, and if you don't, we have them here for purchase. If your piano falls out of tune, let us know and we can recommend a great tuner.
The Winter Recital is approaching quickly, and for those of you who have not signed up who are still interested, space is running out. If you're still not sure whether or not you want to participate, remember these things. First of all, it's free. There is no charge to be a part of the recital, and there is no charge for members of the audience. Secondly, it's a great opportunity to get some performing experience in an environment that is fully supportive. Everyone there is either a student themselves, and understands the difficulties of learning a musical instrument, or they are friends and families of students, who, chances are, can't do what you can do, so you should show them how great you are.
The recital will take place on Saturday, November 30th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This time around, we have 4 recital times available to sign up for. The general student body is welcome to sign up for the 1:00pm, 3:00pm or 5:00pm shows while the 7:00pm show is exclusive to adult students only. Because of the number of shows that day, lessons on November 30th have been cancelled.
To sign up, you can log on to the student portal and register for the event in the Calendar section, or you can register at the front desk with Steve or Megan. Please remember that each student gets one song (for time constraints), and it must not be a song that is being performed by another student on the same instrument in the same recital time.

request for reviews
Lately we have received a lot of new students through referrals from other students, which has helped us grow considerably this year. We'd like to thank, in general, everyone who has been referring us to their friends and family. If you're talking about us, it must be because you're happy with us, and we're especially happy that you are happy. If you really are happy with us, we'd like to ask you to take it one step farther and give us some online reviews using our Google Maps listing and/or our Facebook page. This will help tell others who don't have direct referrals here to feel confident in the services we provide, and the faster we grow, the better we can make our services and improve everyone's experience here. If you need help locating where online to do this, just let us know and we'll help you find it.
