March/April 2021 Newsletter
We've missed our last two recitals, but this one is HAPPENING! We've done some research and found a way to showcase our brilliant students and your fantastic progress while still being Covid safe. This year we will have an online Spring Recital on YouTube! Students will work hard to prepare a song of their choosing and perform it in a video for us to put up on our private YouTube channel. Everyone, of all ages and skill levels, are welcome and encouraged to participate! And as a bonus to doing the recital this way - no stage fright! We always love to hear you perform and we're looking forward to seeing your videos.
A very warm welcome to all of the teachers who have joined us recently!
April Morris - Violin
Justin Genua - Drums
Jeremy Fox-Revett - Guitar, Ukulele, Voice
Katarina Meneses - Guitar, Ukulele, Piano, Violin
"In my opinion, the only way to conquer stage fright is to get up on stage and play. Every time you play another show, it gets better and better.
The way this online recital will work is for in-person students, your teacher will record your video during lesson time; online students will need to record themselves and submit it to us. We will then upload it to our private YouTube channel, meaning that it will not be searchable and only those with a direct link will see it, and we will provide the link only to participants. You will then be able to share your/your child's video with friends and family. Waivers will be provided to ensure we have your permission to post these videos as described. Videos will be published Saturday, May 29, so please submit your videos to us by May 22. Late entries may not be included.
