It's tax time, and we have already received a few requests for tax receipts for music lessons. To save everyone time (and paper) please note that there is no longer an Arts Tax Credit from music lessons or other related activities. This tax credit was removed along with the Activity Tax Credit from the provincial budget a few years ago and the final year that could be claimed was 2016. Thank you.
Student portal - online schedule
Our online student portal, which every student should have access to, has a great feature for scheduling. Students now have the ability to cancel a lesson directly online through the portal and schedule new lessons or make-up lessons.
Visit https://www.smartslondon.com/student-portal.html and log in. Once logged in, click on the Calendar tab located along the left side of the screen. By default, the calendar shows you the current month with all open spots currently available with your teacher. If you need to cancel a lesson, doing it this way gives both school administration and your teacher immediate notice by e-mail that the lesson has been cancelled, which is more reliable than a phone call. If you need to schedule a make-up lesson, look for the recycling sign to see available make-up times. All other times are regularly open spots and may be available if you are interested in changing your permanent time or may also be available for a make-up lesson. All changes you make through the online schedule will be reviewed and confirmed by administration to make sure there are no conflicts.
