Back to School

We're getting close to September and that means new schedules. If you would like to change your lesson time, please inform us as early as possible. We will try our best to accommodate every request. The closer we get to September, the tighter times will get as we will be welcoming back students who took the summer off as well as welcoming new students.

Also remember, if you have a friend who wants lessons, send them to us and you will get rewarded!

Practice Makes Perfect...And Prizes!

In July, we attempted to do a practice contest. It didn't work, and it was our fault. So we're going to try again. All you need to know is if you practice at least 15 minutes per day for at least 4 days per week, you will get entered into a draw for a $10.00 gift card to the store of your choosing. Amount of practice required may vary depending on skill level. Check with any staff member for more details.

Change to Missed Lesson Policy

The last policy change we are planning for September is regarding our missed lesson policy. I have discussed this policy with the teachers throughout the year and the majority of this policy comes directly from their requests.

Currently, the policy regarding missed lessons is that if you contact us about an absence at least 24 hours in advance, there is no penalty, meaning we will either not charge, issue full credit or reschedule the lesson. Any notice less than 24 hours results in 1 makeup lesson per month or 50% credit if the lesson can't be rescheduled after 1 month of trying.

The new policy requires at least 7 days notice for no penalty as mentioned above. Between 24 hours and 7 days notice, the lesson will be rescheduled, or 100% credit will be issued if a time can't be found after 1 month of trying. Same-day cancellations still receive a maximum of 1 makeup lesson per month as before, but anything less than 2 hours notice will forfeit the lesson.

We appreciate your understanding regarding these policy changes. If you have any questions, please ask Steve for more information. Please remember that the payment policy changes will take effect for September lessons meaning the due date for credit card transactions is August 31st and the due date for post-dated cheques is August 23rd. Please submit your post-dated cheques by August 20th. Thank you.
