The Christmas Recital was a great success aside from one or two minor technical difficulties. We would like to thank all the parents and students who contributed to the event but we'd like to especially thank the students for all the hard work they put into preparing their songs for the performance. We are all very proud of how far they've come. In total, we had 43 individual performances from 38 different students.
If your regular lesson falls on a holiday and you would like to reschedule the lesson, please feel free to let us know.
Holidays and New Hours of Operation
The holidays are now less than two weeks away. Just to be clear, the last day before the holidays that we will be open for regular lessons is Thursdays, December 22nd. After that, we will be closed for regular lessons for two weeks and reopen again on Friday January 6th. It may be possible if you are in need of makeup lessons, that we might try to schedule them for the break. Some of our teachers have shown a willingness to come in for that purpose and if you are available, we will do our best to catch up. If not, that's ok too. We all could use a little holiday I'm sure.
In the new year, we will be changing our hours of operation slightly. These changes should not affect anyone, but just to be safe, I wanted to let you all know so that there is no confusion. Since my wife and I are expecting a new baby soon, I have committed to only being open while there are lessons scheduled so that I can help with the work at home. To compensate for this, all calls will be forwarded to my cell phone between the hours of 8:00am and 9:00pm daily so that if you need to reach me for any reason, I won't be too far away. The new hours will take effect in February, but we will likely test it periodically throughout January just to be sure that the new hours will work for everyone.
