Thanks to our dedicated teachers, students, and parents, School of Music Arts has grown faster than we could imagine when we started just under 5 years ago. And we believe that this year we'll see many more students and teachers join us. Because of this, we have set in motion some changes that will take place in 2020 to better accommodate everyone and improve everyone's overall experience with us. We will keep everyone up to date as these changes take place, but keep your eyes open for a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!
February 17 - Family Day - School Closed
March 16 - 20 - March Break - School OPEN

new years goals
A new year starting means many people are making resolutions and setting goals. It's important to learn how to set S.M.A.R.T. goals, even for your music! S.M.A.R.T. is an acronym that stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time bound. For example, maybe you have an audition or performance coming up! Specific: State exactly what you want to accomplish - "I want to memorize this song" Measurable: Use smaller mini-goals to measure progress - "I need to practice 30 min a day" Achievable: Make your goal reasonable - choose a song that's challenging, but not excessively difficult for your level. Relevant: Set a goal that's relevant to your life - choose a song that's appropriate for your performance or audition. Time bound: Give yourself time, but set a deadline - "I need to have this song prepared for my performance in two months!"
"If music be the food of love, play on." -William Shakespeare
