We'd like to officially welcome our newest addition to School of Music Arts. Megan will be joining us twice a week to help students with rescheduling, payments and anything else Steve normally handles. Please be patient with her as she learns how it all works, there's a lot to learn. Megan started out as all of you have, as a student here. Her hard work and dedication to learning her instrument played a big part in joining our staff. Keep working hard. As you can see, it pays off.
Earlier this week we were able to send out a quick notice about the upcoming Winter Recital, and now that we're finally able to get the newsletter out, we can provide all the specific details here. The recital will be held on November 30th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 615 Baseline Rd. E. where it has always been. This time though, we are adding a new recital time so that we can accommodate our increased numbers. In addition to the 3:00pm and 5:00pm times, there will also be a 1:00pm recital time. We will do another adult student only recital at 7:00pm as we did last time. It was extremely successful last year, and we highly recommend that our adult students participate.
Because of the times we now have available, we plan to close down the school for the day and there will be no lessons scheduled that day. For those of you whose lessons fall on Saturdays, it may be possible to reschedule to earlier that week if you'd like to get an extra practice with your teacher in before the recital. As always, students must sign up either through the desk staff, which now includes Steve and Megan, or online through the student portal. If you are only telling your teacher you want to do it, then you are not signed up. When choosing your song, please remember to choose early so that no one else takes the song you want because there will be no duplicates allowed on the same instrument in the same recital.
